  • This is why we are all Chameleons……

So guys, there’s this personality test I’ve taken a few times. The last time I did it was in 2022, and I decided to take it again recently because I wanted to see if anything had changed about me. You know how they say change is the only constant thing in life, right? And since personality evolves with time and experience, it made sense to check in again.

Now, I honestly thought my result would be exactly the same, and in some ways, it was. I’m still an INFJ😎, but this time, there was a slight shift in my personality rankings.😔

This tiny shift got me thinking deeply…..not just about personality, but about people, about human nature, and about the whole concept of good and bad.

You’re probably wondering, “How did you go from a personality test to talking about good and bad?” lol…..let me explain.

I’ve always believed in the concept of Yin and Yang…..the idea of dualism and that everything in the universe contains two opposite but complementary forces, i.e no one is completely good or completely bad. My opinion is that everyone who is “good” still has a bit of bad in them, and everyone who is “bad” still has a bit of good in them….but this personality test gave me a deeper understanding of why that is the case.

So, the thing is, when you take the test, you’re asked a bunch of questions and the questions remain the same no matter how many times you take the test — but your results can be different based on your responses at that moment.

This was my case as well, the questions didn’t change between 2022 and now, but my responses did. Why? Because I have changed. My experiences, emotions, and growth over time have shaped how I now see and respond to things.

This made me realize that we’re all actually chameleons disguising as humans, lol. What I mean is, to be human is to constantly change just like a chameleon does……either based on our environments, experiences, and the choices we make. Likewise, the idea of being good or bad isn’t fixed…..it is shaped by what we feed ourselves and the circumstances we live in.

It’s not something we’re born as.
It’s not about how we were raised or what we believe about ourselves.
It’s about what we choose to feed — the parts of ourselves we nurture.

Every single one of us has both good and bad within. The difference between being a “good person” and a “bad person” is honestly simply hinged on which part we choose to strengthen through our actions, reactions, and daily choices.

    Think about it this way:
Someone who’s hardworking can also be lazy.
Someone who’s kind can also be mean.
Someone who’s strong can also be weak.
We are never just one thing.

Some days, we feed our discipline…….other days, we feed our comfort. Some days, we feed love……other days, we feed anger. What dominates us over time is simply what we feed the most.

That understanding has made me learn to even judge people less — and myself too. Because when someone acts out of character, I understand that they’re not suddenly a bad person…..they’re just feeding a different part of themselves in that moment — maybe because of pain, exhaustion, or circumstance.

And when I act out of character, I remind myself that I’m not suddenly a bad person too, I’m just a girl that made a bad choice in that moment — one that I can choose differently next time.

And that, to me, is one of the most freeing realizations ever.

I have now gone from thinking ‘I could never do that’ to understanding that I am capable of doing or being anything— depending on what I choose to feed. And I think that’s really the foundation of being human…….Our Choices.

I know this conversation is very broad, the concept of human nature and good versus bad goes way deeper than what I’ve written here. But as usual, this is just one of the many things I’ve been reflecting on lately, and I felt like I should share it too.

Hopefully, this helps us all to judge less, while also holding people and ourselves more accountable to our choices.

PS – If you’d like to take the test and see if we’ll “twin” lol, here’s the link https://www.16personalities.com/ and yeah feel free to share your personality type with me in the comments.

Special s/o to my fellow INFJs thooooo🥰☺️, nothing concern me with the rest 😄😄😄
